[Introduction to the Dharma of Sakyamuni Buddha]
"Sakyamuni Buddha's body" is pure gold. His right hand is on the ground, and his left hand is a fixed seal. On the fixed seal, he holds a bowl filled with nectar. He is wearing the three robes of a monk. His appearance is perfect and solemn, bright and clear, and his body is like glass. Generally, one enters concentration in the auspicious light on the white lotus seat.
[Living Buddha Lotus, precious French teachings by His Holiness Lu Shengyan - The origin and specialness of Sakyamuni Buddha]
"Sakyamuni Buddha" is the leader of Buddhism. "Sakyamuni" is his surname, which is the name of a clan - "Sakyamuni". The word "Muni" means "nengren". A saint who is "able" to do "benevolence" in heaven and on earth means "a saint born in the Sakyamuni clan".
Whether it is exoteric or esoteric teachings, they all respect "Namo's master, Sakyamuni Buddha."
In the two mandalas of Esoteric Buddhism, "Sakyamuni Buddha" has Sakyamuni as the main deity in the womb realm, and he stands side by side with Buddha Amitabha in the Vajra realm. According to the Mahavamika Sutra, it is written: "Sakyamuni, whose whole body is of true golden color, possessing the radiance of the thirty-two phases, is clad in a Qiantuo-colored cassock, sitting on a white lotus flower, and is preaching the Dharma in response to his body."
Sakyamuni Buddha, whose lay name is "Siddhartha Gautama", was born on April 8 under the Ashoka tree in Lumbini Garden. He is a member of the Sakya tribe in Jambudvipa and Kapilavastu Kingdom. His father is King Suddhodana and his mother is Queen Maya. He became a monk at the age of twenty-nine and became a Taoist at the age of thirty-five. He taught the Dharma for about forty-five years and gave more than three hundred lectures. He saved countless people and gods. He lived in Shaluo on the banks of the Bati River in about 543 BC. Under the two trees, he passed away and passed away, with a life span of eighty years.
Shakyamuni Buddha first converted the five monks of Kondanna, then the three Kasyapas, as well as more kings and disciples. He often traveled between Magadha, Kosala and Vaisali to preach.
The mantra of Sakyamuni Buddha is "Om. Muni. Mahamuni. Sakyamuni. Stud.", which means "a saint who is capable of benevolence and can perform the greatest benevolence."
The teachings of Sakyamuni Buddha are very great. Regarding Hinayana, when he first turned the Dharma Wheel in Sarnath, he taught "suffering, cessation, cessation, and the path." "Suffering, cessation, cessation, and the path" is Hinayana. The "Four Noble Truths".
The meaning of suffering, accumulation, extinction, and the path is that there are many troubles and sufferings in this world. There is happiness, but not much. In this world, everything will eventually end in extinction, that is, everything will disappear. When you reach extinction, before you disappear, you have already realized "extinction". At that time, you can realize the Buddha's principles.
So there is no real happiness in the world. Generally speaking, happiness is very short-lived and suffering is relatively high.
You collect all the suffering, and finally there is no suffering and no happiness, that is, it is "annihilated". It is gone. Only then can you realize the "Tao". This was the first time that the Buddha turned the wheel of Dharma and taught Hinayana about the "suffering, origin, cessation, and path".
When the Buddha turned the Dharma wheel for the second time, he taught the "Prajna Vehicle" -- the Mahaprajnaparamita Vehicle, which is also the Dharma of Sakyamuni Buddhism, namely the six perfections and ten thousand practices. As a bodhisattva, one is to benefit others, one is to exchange oneself with others, one is to be equal, and to generate the bodhi mind to save sentient beings. This is the "Mahaprajnaparamita Vehicle", which is the "Bodhisattva Vehicle".
To become a Bodhisattva, you need to use the Six Perfections of Giving, Precepts, Patience, Meditation, Diligence, and Wisdom to transform sentient beings. This is the Bodhisattva Vehicle taught by Sakyamuni Buddha. The Bodhisattva Vehicle focuses on generating bodhicitta. Bodhicitta has the so-called equality, and all living beings are equal. Master is equal to everyone, and everyone has Buddha nature.
"Altruism" means not thinking for yourself, but thinking for all living beings. Thinking for others is altruism.
"Exchange between self and others"? This is what Confucius said, "Do not impose on others what you do not want others to do to you." Do you want to be slandered by others? No. Then do not slander others. If you violate this, it is not Buddhism. Do not impose on others what you do not want others to do to you, and make them suffer more.
I have said that we should know the kindness and the kindness of our parents. How did you grow up? Could you grow up without your parents? No, no. Although your biological parents, your adoptive parents, and even the person who raised you are not your parents, they are still your parents. So we must show gratitude! I still want to express my gratitude for this grace! In the end, we must repay kindness. This is what the Buddha himself taught.
Sakyamuni also taught "Praty-enlightenment" during this period, and he understood all the truths in the world and had the "Twelve Causes and Conditions". When he attains enlightenment, he is called "Praty-enlightenment". This is also the teaching of Shakyamuni Buddhism.
The greatness of the Buddha is that he turns the wheel of Dharma three times, and the last turn is the secret vehicle. He teaches you to become a Buddha, to understand your mind, and to see your nature.
This is what Sakyamuni Buddha said. This is where His greatness lies. There are three key points. The first key point is renunciation, which is the most important. You clearly know that the Saha world is very painful, and it is useless to pursue anything. You will not get anything, and you will gain nothing. The Heart Sutra says, "Because there is nothing to gain, Bodhi is achieved." Because you don't get anything to become a Bodhisattva.
Sakyamuni Buddha said this, don’t you know that there is nothing to gain in this world? Can you get nothing? Because you have nothing to gain, only after you know that you have nothing to gain can you achieve enlightenment and become a truly altruistic Bodhisattva.
So don't fight over and over. All the right and wrong in the world are caused by the two words "fight" and "contention". If you have an equal heart, a heart of altruism, and exchange between self and others, in the end, when you understand everything in the world, because there is nothing to gain, you will understand the world, and you will be able to transcend and become a Buddha. This is what Shakyamuni Buddha said.
The monks today, having renounced their worldly families, have entered the family of the King of Dharma and given up their worldly surnames, taking on the surname of the Buddha. This was advocated by Master Daoan in the Jin Dynasty, and the Agama Sutra also said: "The four rivers flow into the sea, without any river names left. The monks of the four surnames are all called the Sakya clan." This is the reason why all the disciples of Sakyamuni Buddha changed their surnames to "Shi".
There are many monks and Buddhist disciples who know many ways to eliminate karmic obstacles, but they do not know that the mantra of Sakyamuni Buddha is the great secret to eliminate extremely serious karma. Most of the disciples know that the collection of Buddhist teachings taught by the Buddhist leader during his lifetime is the Tripitaka and the Twelve Parts, which is a cultural treasure of the East, but they do not know that there is such a great secret.
In the "Kama Dharma" of "Pali", we learned that Sakyamuni Buddha was originally the meritorious king of Bhagavan who should be fully enlightened, that is, the leader of the Saha world. In the Tantric Dharma, Sakyamuni Buddha The Buddha turned out to be the deity who repented of sins and eliminated karma.
People who practice this "Shakyamuni Meritorious King Dharma" may soon gain the ability to know past lives. Their past lives will appear before their eyes one by one, just like watching a movie. They will understand the cause and effect of their past lives all at once. As a result of practicing this Dharma, their past life destiny is clear to them.
The key point of this method is that the white light of nectar water is equivalent to the empowerment of Sakyamuni Buddha. In the highest sense of Buddhahood, it enters one's body from the top, which means that the merits can turn into great perfection. This is of course the greatest secret method for eliminating karma.
